Na 65. Berlinaleu će se od 23 filma u Glavnom programu njih 19 naći u konkurencija za Zlatnog i Srebrnog medvjeda, od kojih će 21 imati svjetsku premijeru. Berlinski filmski festival se održava od 5. do 15. februara, a dodjela nagrada će se upriličiti u subotu 14. februara u Berlinale Palestu. Festival otvara film Nobody Wants the Night rediteljice Isabele Coixet sa Juliette Binoche u glavnoj ulozi. Novi film Wima Wendersa Every Thing Will Be Fine sniman u 3D-u sa Jamesom Francom, Charlotte Gainsbourg i Rachel McAdams će se prikazati izvan konkurencije, kao i filmovi 13 Minutes Olivera Hirschbiegela i Mr. Holmes Billa Condona. Među konkurentima za nagrade su se našla ostvarenja Terrencea Malicka Knight of Cups, Wernera Herzoga Queen of the Desert i Jafara Panahia Taxi.
